OEM, aftermarket and part condition
Before ordering from Mega Supply, check the exact item’s manufacturer, new, used or refurbished condition, included components and part numbers. These are separate details on each product listing.
OEM or aftermarket: who made the part?
OEM and aftermarket describe the product’s manufacturer or origin, while new, used and refurbished describe its condition. Review both on the individual listing. An OEM part can be used, and an aftermarket part can be new or refurbished.
A BMW, Mercedes-Benz or other vehicle make in a title may describe fitment. An OE reference number may identify the original part being replaced. Neither detail alone establishes that an aftermarket product was manufactured by that vehicle brand.
Use the stated manufacturer and manufacturer part number when supplied. If the listing provides only OE reference numbers or the manufacturer is unclear, ask Mega Supply about that exact item.
New, used or refurbished: what should I check?
New
Read the item’s stated condition and packaging notes. Check the photos and what is included rather than assuming every new listing includes the same accessories or original packaging.
Used
Review the actual item photos, wear, damage notes and included components. Ask about details relevant to your repair before ordering.
Refurbished
Refurbished condition is separate from new condition. Check the individual listing’s description and ask about the specific refurbishment work, testing or warranty if those details are needed for your purchase.
Included components
Check whether modules, brackets, sensors, wiring or other accessories needed for your job are included. Confirm any unclear component with our team.
Does an OE number guarantee compatibility?
An OE reference is useful for comparison, but it does not replace checking the exact configuration, position, connectors and vehicle requirements. A stock SKU identifies a Mega Supply catalog item; it is not a manufacturer part number.
Send the listing link and SKU, full original part number, vehicle year, make, model, engine and VIN when available. Include photos of the original label and connections. See our part number and fitment guide.
What should I ask before buying?
- Is this exact item’s manufacturer and condition suitable for my requirements?
- Which components are included, and is any damage or wear described?
- Does my installation need coding, programming or other work I should verify with my installer?
- What item-specific testing or warranty information is documented?
- What shipping and return terms apply to this purchase?
Review the store’s current return policy and shipping policy. Ask for clarification of any item-specific terms before purchasing.
